School Uniform

The Uniform Shop will be open on the following days and times:

Monday 3rd February - 8:30am - 9:30am

Tuesday 4th February - 8:30am - 9:30am

Students at St John the Apostle wear a school uniform.

Purchasing the school uniform

All school uniform items, except shoes, are available at the school Uniform Shop. Run by the Community Council and staffed by parent volunteers, our Uniform Shop is always very helpful, supporting parents by providing the right uniform items at affordable prices. Prices are available in our Uniform Information Pack 2023 (April Edition) from the Front Office and in the Qkr app. Most school uniform items are also available from inside Lowes at Westfield Belconnen.

The Uniform Shop also has a range of second-hand uniform options also remain available for purchase. These items are only available for in-person purchase at the Uniform Shop.

When purchasing uniforms the preferred method of payment, whether off or on site, is via the Qkr app.

The Uniform Shop is open on Friday mornings from 8.30am to 9.30am during the school term. Other open times aare advertised via the COMPASS app.

* In accordance with school sunsafe recommendations by the Cancer Council ACT the bucket hat is optional in June and July to allow students to obtain the recommended levels of Vitamin D. A navy beanie may be worn at this time.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS

  • Scarves, coats, beanies and gloves worn by students are all to be dark navy blue.

  • Hair is neat and tidy, and is to be natural hair colours. Long hair (at or past shoulder length) must be tied up using maroon, navy or other hair accessories that match the school uniform colours. Hair ties can be natural hair colours.

  • All students are required to use the maroon school bag with the school logo.

  • Socks are to cover the ankles.

  • Simple watches can be worn. Please note that smart watches fall under the Catholic Education Student ICT Acceptable User Agreement and students and use of smart watches will be subject to the restrictions, and consequences for misuse, of any personal ICT device brought to school, e.g. mobile phones.

  • Simple earrings (studs) may be worn. Necklaces, bracelets or other jewellery is not permitted, unless discussed with the Principal.

  • Children are encouraged to come to school with sunscreen applied. Sunscreen will also be available for student use in each classroom.
