United in love, truth and courage

At St John the Apostle, Florey, we recognise that each young person is unique. As a community, we share the responsibility of nurturing their growth towards becoming responsible, caring and highly capable young people. We work towards creating   a safe and caring learning environment and providing opportunities and challenges that assist all students to strive to be better people, each day.

In the heart of Florey, St John the Apostle is a co-educational inclusive and innovative Catholic Primary School that reflects the charism of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart order (MSC). The MSC spirituality is 'to be on earth, the heart of God' as a school, we share that same aspiration. 'God is love' (1 John 4:8) this underpins everything we do for students and their families. We believe wellbeing and a strong sense of connection, engagement and optimism enable children to develop a positive attitude to learning and life.

We welcome children of all abilities, backgrounds, cultures, and faiths. Our dedicated staff are skilled and committed to nurturing the social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth of all students. Our vision is to provide authentic, professional Catholic education, delivered with care and compassion. Our school offers an outstanding educational program, an integrated wellbeing program, excellent sporting and creative opportunities.

Staff, parents, and the community work to encourage children to develop initiative and become self-motivated learners who can work co-operatively, play enthusiastically and behave with consideration and mutual respect for everyone.

Parents are partners in learning at St John the Apostle Primary School. We encourage you to be actively involved in the school and our Parish.  I look forward to welcoming you to SJA and invite you to take a school tour at a mutually convenient time by contacting our office on 02  6258 3592.
