Germana Gualtieri: Young Australians

Germana Gualtieri in Year 6M was one of twenty students from Years 6 to 11 to be selected for the News Champions Forum to be hosted at the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra on the 20-22^nd October. The aim of the research project was to advance the news media literacy of young Australians. You can read more about the project here https://westernsydney.edu.au/medialiteracy”

Germana had to apply and was selected for her high quality application. Throughout the few days, Germana had conferences to attend, watch numerous videos and had discussions with other students around the impacts of the media on young Australians.

SJA Netball:

Last term and this term, students from Years 5 and 6 competed in the ACT Schools Netball Gala day. Saint John’s sent a mixed and a girls team. Both teams advanced to the finals. A massive congratulations to the girls team who placed first overall. The mixed team was beaten and finished second to a very well drilled Holy Family Primary School team.
