From the Principal

Dear St John the Apostle Primary School Community,
Yesterday morning we held our orientation morning for Kindergarten 2020. We had such a lovely time meeting the new students. They threaded beads, drew pictures, made friends, listened to stories, sang songs, danced, played outside and ate together. It was a lot of fun. We're looking forward to it all happening again in two weeks, when they get to meet their big buddies for next year, our current Year 4 students.
Mini-Missions
Congratulations to our outstanding Year 6 students who held their Mini-Missions day today, fundraising to support a charity of their choice.
The 2019 Year 6 cohort have been a wonderful example of how to successfully wear the mantle of student leadership. Their commitment to the various roles they play in the school has been exceptional and today, they shone again. It was a pleasure to witness them be so kind and generous with the other students in the school and create fun ways for everyone to support others who need our help. Well done and thank you also to Mrs Beth Fear and Mr Jack Gibson for their excellent support for their students.
Earn and Learn
Thank you everyone who contributed to our Earn & Learn sticker collection this year. Our order arrived today and included:
- Makey Makeys (STEM and Digital Technologies Equipment)
- New basketballs
- New rubber balls for Junior Primary
- New basketball nets
That's a great outcome for all of our students. Thank you to Woolworths for making this opportunity possible.
Class placements for 2020
A reminder from last week that if you would like any particular educational needs for your child to be considered as we construct the classes, please put this in writing to me at Matthew.Garton@cg.catholic.edu.au by the end of today. Your emails will remain confidential. Request for particular teachers will not be considered.
Thank you all for the privilege of being part of this community.
Kind regards,
Matthew Garton (Principal)
