SJAPS Volunteer Appreciation Corner
This week we would like to thank Belinda Clifford (parent from 3M & 5B) for all the incredible work she puts into managing the SJAPS uniform shop.
Belinda began her volunteer journey in the uniform shop back in 2020, then a year later she began managing the uniform shop. Over the weeks and years it has varied, but on average she spends about 6-8 hours per week volunteering her time to the uniform shop.
The volunteer work completed by Belinda includes stock control, training and supervision of volunteers and student helpers, ordering stock, liaising with suppliers, liaising with school staff, organising and designing staff uniforms, daily operations of the shop, customer service delivery, product design, handling orders both instore and online, creation of policy and procedure documentation.
Belinda does this with poise, kindness and a friendly smile, if you see her, please don’t forget to say g’day and/or thank you.
The Uniform Shop
Opening Hours
The Uniform Shop continues to be refurbished. While this occurs we are open for online orders only.
Painting has been completed which has given a refresh to the old space. Fingers crossed upgrades will be completed by the end of September. Please watch this space for updates and relevant uniform shop announcements. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have any questions or concerns please email the uniform shop at stjohnsclothingpool@gmail.com
Professional Family Portrait Fundraiser
We will be holding a professional family portrait fundraiser on the weekend of the 15th and 16th November 2025.
For $20 you will receive a professional 10x13 inch colour photo. You will be able to purchase additional photo packages at a very affordable cost.
For every photo booking $20 will go to the school. The funds raised will go towards a shade covers around the school.
The photos will be held at Western Foreshore Park, Macdermott Pl, Belconnen. This is a pet friendly event. If it is raining, the photos will be in the school library.
This is a great opportunity to have professional photos that can be used as Christmas gifts. Collection of the photos will be from the school, date to be advised prior to the end of term 4.
To make your booking please use the QKR above or follow the below link
The Athletes Foot School Rewards Program
Did you know that SJAPS is part of the Athletes Foot School Rewards Program?
As part of this program the Athletes Foot will donate $5 to our school for every pair of shoes purchased from the Belconnen Mall’s Athletes Foot store by any of the school staff, students, or members of their families.
All you need to do is nominate SJAPS at the time of your purchase for the sale to be counted towards the Program Rewards.
School rewards apply for EVERY pair of shoes purchased, across the complete in-store range of adults and/or kids sports, school, work and casual shoes.
Next time you are looking to purchase new shoes for your children, yourself or for others please keep this program in mind.
SJAPS Fundraising Goal
The various Community Council SJAPS fundraising opportunities will raise funds towards the installation of outdoor shade covers around the school grounds. Keep an eye out for community council fundraisers, contribute and/or get involved to help us achieve this goal!
