Catholic Life and Reflection
What Students are Learning About
Year 5 have been very busy! Firstly they have begun to reflect on Advent by using creative ways of displaying the names of Jesus and the Nativity.

Arjun in 5B has written a wonderful reflection on what he knows about Mary. Great work Arjun!
Catholic Life and Reflection
I used to live in Spence in the late 1980’s and there was a gentleman that I would see regularly who walked his greyhounds. At the time I thought he was an elderly man, but I suspect not as old as I thought at the time.
He would always be up somewhere near the top of Kingsford Smith Drive and Kuringa Drive. Over the years there were many different dogs with him, always greyhounds, sometimes one and sometimes two but over the years I saw him less and less. When I did see him, I would point him out to my boys.
It has been a long time between sightings. About two weeks ago there he was. I was so happy! Someone who I have never spoken to and who doesn’t know I exist, but whose continued presence felt comforting. Never underestimate the power of your presence to someone. You might not know the impact you are having.
Hebrews 13:2
New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised Catholic Edition
2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
