Dear St John the Apostle community,

Thank you for an amazing term. It has been filled with new teaching & learning opportunities for students and staff, events that gathered us together again, celebrations of student achievement, time for prayer and reflection and the exciting development of outdoor spaces for learning. It has been very, very busy and our staff have worked very, very hard. I am very thankful of the staff, parents and students who, every day, continue to make St John the Apostle a great place for children to learn and grow.

Today was a lovely end to the term with our Brag Tag celebration for students who received 20 Brag Tag stickers over the course of the term. So many other students nearly had 20 Brag Tag stickers and will have the opportunity to celebrate mid Term 2.

Some staff changes for Term 2

Congratulations to Mrs Rebecca Stevenson who has been appointed as the Acting Religious Education Coordinator during weeks 1 to 5 while Mrs Stewart is on leave. Mrs Stevenson has a passion for teaching Religious Education and supporting staff and students. She will be a wonderful addition to the Executive Team during this time.

I am on leave for the first two weeks of school, undertaking a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with a number of other Principals. During Weeks 1 and 2:

• Mrs Rebekah Brown will be Acting Principal
• Mrs Bree Dess will be Acting Assistant Principal
• Mrs Rebecca Stevenson will be Acting Religious Education Coordinator
• Mrs Mel Watson will be Acting Coordinator

I look forward to sharing my experiences with students on my return in Week 3 of Term 2.

Enrolment Period

Early next term is the Enrolment Period for 2024. During this time we hold our Information Evening and School Tours for those interested in enrolling their child in our school. The details for these events are on the school website.

If you know any families interested in enrolling their child at St John the Apostle please refer them to our website for how to enrol. If you have a child who is due to start in Kindergarten in 2024 we will accept enrolments from the beginning of Term 2.
